In 1970s, life was soft in Ivory Coast. He had a job there, hospitals were equipped and the school was compulsory. I had the chance to know this carefree epoch, where the young people had not to choose their too quickly camp, and were concerned only about the common life: studies, parents, love affairs And it is it that I want to tell in AYA, Africa without the plates of war and of famine, this Africa which remains nonetheless because, as they say at our place,  life goes on

Price of the best first album in Angoul me, Aya de Yopougon is out of place in the landscape of the Africain BOULEVARD. They are far from plates or war stories. For once the Africain decor is not treated as a point of view of European filled with wonder by local colour or shocked by the violence of civil wars. AYA decides to tell the daily life of a "normal" Africain youth, with the passing infatuations, the joyful best regards and sometimes tortured, which are the daily of the teenagers of the whole world. Because the album of Margaret Abouet and Clement Oubrerie is a BOULEVARD intended for the teenagers. And there also, she is agreeably surprising in a difficult type.
