Albertine is a gifted illustrator who lived in Switzerland with her companion Germano Zullo with whom she accomplishes many works for youth.

1. An anecdote, good or bad to share on your schoolchild's life?

My first year of school, I had a mistress who tied us to our chairs with skipping ropes and glued us together of the bandaid on the mouth. At this instant, I was afraid of the authority and I did not love the school.

2. What would be your ideal school?

A school in which they would make participate the child in its training by creating debate, reflexion, curiosity, a school of experience which would take into account the rhythms of each.

3. Child, what were the heroes who made about you dream?

4. Were you gifted for the drawing being child?

The drawing was my mode of expression. I drew at all times.

5. What persuaded you to become illustrator?

It is meetings with the editors, and pleasure that I take to make my job.

6. What training, which studies, did you follow for it?

The school of decorative arts, then the college of higher education of visual arts of Geneva.

7. Advice to be given to those who would like to launch into designer's career?

Draw at all times, see exhibitions, open books and remain unassuming.

8. What are the worlds from which you draw inspiration or that influence your job most?

My influence blends between memory, and present instant. I question on the world in which we live. I search what is nice.

9. What other job would have liked you to make?

I teach and I very much like it! But apart to draw, I can make nothing of other one.

11. What are your current plans?

I prepare a book on my childhood, 3 albums in the Joy of Lire, two exhibitions in Geneva and an exhibition of drawings of the put boots cat at  the Home of tales and of stories  in Paris in February.

10. Then, this lounges around? (What you want to make to get changed ideas, to slacken you?)

I want to look at films which are productive cheerful, as musicals for example.
