Armand, tamponneur of the quality-label  100 % quality  from the state, works on the assembly line (in position 5, it is marked on the number) in a plant which fabricates raviolis. He lives in the number 243 of the street in Gold button. 25th floor. In the bottom of the corridor to the left. He leads an existence so where monotony competes for him in trouble. And it is not much to say it! Alone the love of flowers gladdens him a tiny bit.

But an evening, while it opens a box of raviolis, appears to him a genius, tubby man and yellow. A facetious bite, genius! Undoubtedly to distinguish himself, he offers not three, but two wishes to grant Facing also tempting proposals them some as others, but of a staggering materialism, what will be Armand's choice?

That here is a pretty small album! This fable on the small things which make menus pleasures of life (a meadow filled with flowers, with a stream where dip feet there, for example) gives desire to send everything to graze to go to gambol in decors coloured with Albertine and to be allowed to attract by a part of leapfrog. Group is crossbred of poem and delicacy, served by a drawing everything in roundness, and the brought forward humour playing on the codes of tale (number of wishes, genius a bit bundle, the final inversion on mode of  granted exauceur  ) brings freshness and lightness.

Notes of the ministry:

Armand works in a plant which mass-produces boxes of raviolis. He saw COUNCIL FLATS in one and likes flowers. He cultivates besides one on the ledge of his window, in the 25e tage. Once he opens a box of raviolis and a genius in fate, who offers him to formulate two wishes. Armand is surprised first of all: It is not three normally? He asks therefore for a big garden, then for a feast. Genius is surprised at the modesty of the Armand's first wish and lists what they ask him habitually: the eternity, the money, a castle Suddenly, Armand's ambition increases, but only on quantitative plan: he passes of a small garden to " the whole meadow ". It will be possible to bring closer to this tale of Aladin and to the marvellous Lamp, with one slight difference that the fall, full of humour, is in break with waitings of the reader: the genius indeed does not any more manage to come back into its box in spite of all its tries. Magical power is reversed and it is Armand who grants the wish of genius: a very cool stream, and to remain feet in the water ! When this standardised society, that represent not only the rows of boxes of raviolis, but also the lines of COUNCIL FLATS abreast, and the successions of doors of very similar flats, meet the world of tale, shock is there only more extremely. Behind this very much simple history against food industry stands out implicit, notably a load a lot. It will be possible to ask the pupils to find trace (composition of products, pub in the underground). From this point of view this BOULEVARD of the album Racket to Cot-Cot cityde Mary Nimier and Christophe Merlin (Albin Michel) will be brought closer. It will be also possible to put this book in contact with some fables. le g nie en effet ne parvient plus rentrer dans sa bo te malgr toutes ses tentatives. Le pouvoir magique s inverse et c est Armand qui exauce le v u du g nie: un ruisseau bien frais, et rester les pieds dans l eau ! Quand cette soci t uniformis e, que symbolisent non seulement les rang es de bo tes de raviolis, mais galement les lignes de HLM c te c te, et les enfilades de portes d appartements toutes semblables, rencontre l univers du conte, le choc n en est que plus fort. Derri re cette histoire fort simple se profile beaucoup d implicite, notamment une charge contre l industrie agro-alimentaire. On pourra demander aux l ves d en retrouver trace (composition des produits, pub dans le m tro ). De ce point de vue on rapprochera cette BD de l album Charivari Cot-Cot cityde Marie Nimier et Christophe Merlin (Albin Michel). On pourra galement mettre ce livre en relation avec certaines fables.
